About Our Rating System
If you're wondering about Gang Gamer Grean's reviews, you've come to the right place. Briefly, we take reviews of games and gaming peripherals seriously. On April 4, 2011, Gang Gamer Grean made a major change to the way we score and review games and gaming peripherals.
We rate games and gaming peripherals on a scale of 1 (the worst it can get) to 10 (the most awesome of awesome). The rating shown to each game or gaming peripheral is intended to give you a quick guide of the overall quality of the game or gaming peripheral under reviewed. We encourage users to read our full reviews before making any final decisions.
Games Rating
For games, we split our ratings into five major category, listed below.
Presentation, Graphics, Sound, Gameplay and Appeal.
In "Presentation", we give the rating based on the overall content.
In "Graphics", we give the rating based on the quality of in-game graphics, animation smoothness and environmental effects.
In "Sound", we give the rating based on the sound clarity and in-game sound effects, ranging from the bird singing in the forest to the sound of a battalion charging into battle.
In "Gameplay", we give the rating based on how the game flairs out upon straight hand-on testings.
In "Appeal", we give the rating based on whether or not this game is up for the long run, whether it would attract millions of gamers.
An overall score is given below the five main category to sum up the rating.
Gaming Peripherals Rating
For gaming peripherals, we also split our rating into five major category, listed below.
Build Quality, Ease of Use, Features, Performance, Value.
In "Build Quality", we give the rating based on the material used and how good the finished exterior is.
In "Ease of Use", we give the rating based on how comfortable the device feels upon using it.
In "Features", we give the rating based on what the device can do.
In "Performance", we give the rating based on actual hand-on testing.
In "Value", we give the rating based on whether it was a good purchase or not.
An overall score is given below the main category to sum up the rating.
The Overall Score Indicator
10.0: God-Like! - This ultra rare score refers to the most perfect a game/gaming peripherals can get. Obviously, the constantly changing standards of new technology will probably reduce this score some day, but upon its release, it was proven to be flawless.
9.0-9.9: Supreme - We recommend any game/gaming peripheral in this range, especially to gamers of that particular genre.
8.0-8.9: Extraordinary - This range refers to great games/gaming peripherals that are top-notch in almost every aspect, there may be a few setbacks and technical issues, but aren't too important.
7.0-7.9: Great - A game/gaming peripherals of this range has a well-rounded good overall, its strengths outweigh its weaknesses, although there may be a few noticeable faults.
6.0-6.9: Good - Having certain good qualities, but may have significant problems. Caution is needed when approaching games/gaming peripherals of this caliber.
5.0-5.9: Fair - Major weaknesses may outweigh its strengths. There's probably a better similar release out there somewhere for you.
4.0-4.9: Poor - Lacking the cohesion and quality.
3.0-3.9: Bad - Any of its positive qualities most likely serve only to make the rest of it seem even more disappointing.
2.0-2.9: Terrible - No redeeming qualities
1.0-1.9: Monster! - Don't get it
