PSP Go is dead

According to a blog entry from Sony, Sony has killed the PSP Go. The blog claims that the portable device is ceased off the production line and that shops will not receive any future shipments of the device.
Also proving that this is more non-bogus is the fact that the device is no longer available to purchase through the Japanese Sony Style website, where it said to be "out of stock", with no time frame offered for when new units will arrive, the PSP Go is still available via the North American Sony Style page though.
The PSP Go, debuted in 2009 - dumps the idea of having a UMD drive in favor of digital media downloads through the Playstation Store. The device is also slimmer than the PSP-3000, which Sony continues to sell and features 16GB of on-board flash memory.
The path is lay out so clear that Sony will be committing to the next release, its Next Generation Portable, due to release by the end of 2011. The PSP Go's death isn't as surprising, it was already dead before even released.
